The gas springs included in the STANDARDS PROGRAM are designed to the identified dimensions and forces. If you have an application that requires the creation of a unique
gas spring, we can help. Custom designed Signature Series Gas Springs
can be created for:
SPECIAL DIMENSIONS: Within the minimum to maximum extended length limitations of the three
(3) body designs, we can exactly match your length and stroke requirements.
SPECIAL FORCE: Within the minimum to maximum force limitations of the three (3) body designs,
we can exactly match your force requirements. Contact Newport Engineering with details about your special requirements.
SPECIAL EXTENSION RATE: Signature Series
Gas Springs included in the Standards Program have a rates of extension based on oil viscosity, metering device design and
force ratio. For some applications, slower or faster extension rates may be required. By changing the internal
design of the gas spring, specific rates of extension can be achieved.
SPECIAL END FITTINGS: Typically, gas springs are furnished with socket end fittings that allow
for ease of installation and operation. Signature Series Gas Springs
can be furnished with threaded ends (no end fittings) or a variety of other end fittings upon request.
SPECIAL MATERIALS: For applications where additional corrosion resistance is required, Signature
Series Gas Springs can be constructed using 316 stainless steel tubes and rods.
HIGH FORCE REQUIREMENTS: For applications where higher forced gas springs may be required,
larger diameter Signature Series Gas Springs can be provided. Information
